Bodoland area in lower Assam witnessed fresh trouble with the killing of four persons by armed assailants in Jiaguri even as police arrested a member of Bodoland Territorial Autonomous District in connection with the killing. The assailants fired randomly on a group of persons at Jiaguri in Kokrajhar police station in which four persons were killend last night, Inspector General of police(BTAD) S N Singh said today.


* RAJAT GUPTA SHOULD PAY $15 MILLION AS PENALTY, says US GOVT.
New York: The US govt. has asked a court in New York to charge a maximum penalty of US $15 mn on India-born fallen Wall street titan Rajat Gupta and permanently bar him from serving as director of any publicly-traded firm for his "terrible breach of trust" by indulging in insider trading.
